Working in yourself
If the perfect life existed, life wouldn’t be here to begin with. Because of this, all you need is to keep moving forward. To paraphrase Martin Luther King Jr, if you cannot run, walk. If you cannot walk, crawl. And so on and so forth. Yet, due to negative societal conditioning, it takes time to reverse the side effects.
We are predisposed to look outside of ourselves for solutions. It gets to a point where we think that we must be the fixer. But, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Yes, this sounds cliche but in reality it is the key to working in yourself. You read that correctly. You are not in any way, shape, or form broken.
And, if the coronavirus pandemic has taught us anything, it is the capacity to trust ourselves. Focusing on what’s wrong with the world, worrying about an unprecedented circumstance, and carrying a heavy load is counterproductive to your invaluable journey. Yet, taking time for yourself is key to working in yourself. Doing what makes you happy is meditation at its finest. It goes beyond a simple session — it’s a lifestyle worth living!! Imagine if one hand represents the past and if the other hand represents the future.
When those hands merge, you better align with your Higher Self. You are able to make peace with every version of yourself. Who knows? You might better predict your near and distant future. After all, investing in your greatest success today, leads to even greater rewards tomorrow.
Thus, if you want to make the world a better place, you must be a better place.

Goodbye to Rose-Colored Glasses
To be honest, you have to wake up and smell the roses. Of course, this is when you are ready to do so. Otherwise, you might awaken too early. Everything must happen in divine timing. More often than not, it is not that we cannot see but rather we won’t see. The most important lessons sit on top of our noses. And like Pinocchio, the more we lie to ourselves, the further our nose goes. Thus, the rose-colored glasses prolong.
Yet, in the end, our bubbles are going to be popped. One way or another.
Part of inner work involves waking up to your higher self. This includes peeling the layers to your persona that no longer serves. Moreover, don’t try to make these layers leave. Let them leave. One by one. Let them go. Allow your vision to be informed by a higher level of intelligence and wisdom. Soon, it will become clear just how blind you were before.
Sure, guilt might rise to the surface and that’s okay. You might wonder how much better your life would’ve been. However, there is no profit in ruminating over what could’ve been.
All you can do is keep moving in the right direction. If you ever wondered if you are on the right path, this is your sign. Your confirmation that you are ascending. With rose-colored glasses, you didn’t think fat meat was greasy. But, when you take off the shades, you see that not only is fat meat greasy but you are better off with weightless shoulders instead.
Also, it is vital to note that you are going to have ups and downs. The ebb and flow of life is all-natural. Just know that you are the clear sight (clairvoyance) that you have been seeking.
Focus on What Works
Whatever you focus on grows. Thus, focus on what works. Anything to the contrary is going to take away from you. It takes away from your progress. It doesn’t matter where you were before. Where are you now? What is your story? Why are you the person you are today?
When you are working in yourself, trust and enjoy the process. Know that you are such an amazing, incredible person. You have all the power. If you want to transmute your circumstances, start with your inner environment. Start with your condition.
After all, emotion is energy in motion. Accordingly, invest in the life that you deserve. You are more than deserving of progress, development, and an exulted perspective. Ever since you were born, you have been a master manifestor. Matter of factly, You are a Master Manifestor. Because of this, you are equipped to train your focus accordingly.
Again, if you have issues with your focus, meditation can definitely help with this. It isn’t out of the ordinary to develop a monkey brain. Furthermore, it is easier said than done to be this focus. After all, homo sapiens are genetically hardwired to give all their energy to the negative. Yet, it is in our evolution to change the narrative. It is never too late to undergo radical transformation.
Also, change is not anything negative. Change is needed for us to inch closer to inevitable self-actualization. We are the only ones who give life a positive or negative connotation.
Interestingly enough, change is an intrinsic wonder of life. At first glance, it appears as though life forces us to change. But, life doesn’t happen to us. It happens for us. Change happens for us to see the value in investing in what best serves. This includes our mission, our journey, our vision, our lifestyle, and among others. Indeed, focus is the key.
Soul Mate Within
I once read that whereas a mature soul looks for a soul mate, an old soul is the soul mate. The latter no longer looks for anyone to complete them. Instead, they look within themselves to feel complete, to be complete. Of course, this is because of inner light working.
You realize that self-love is the best love. This doesn’t mention how you should just let love come to you. It would explain why there are so many loveless relationships. People don’t know how to love themselves. I guess society doesn’t offer enough seminars on how to do this, let alone how to be what we seek.
Also, for the record, the notion that we can only have one great love is false. Love is an intrinsic value. I’d argue that most virtues and vices are naturally intrinsic. So, an invaluable aspect of working in yourself is learning how to love yourself unconditionally. There mustn’t be any strings attached to giving yourself the world. The world is your oyster. This is your kingdom.
You are breakfast in bed. You are the royal wedding. Whatever represents love to you, you’ve already got it. You are the soulmate within. And with this knowledge, you will attract this love. It is a confirmation of the person you’ve become.
Above all, you are worthy, whole, complete, and divine. You are the greatest love of all time! Be your soulmate(s) — work it!!

Accepting All Your Selves
It is okay that you were not always where you are now. Embrace the art of all that is you. Your timeline is a collage of your inner light working. The great news is that meditation accelerates your progress. Remember, it doesn’t help to judge certain qualities you think you lacked. How could you work if you were always on the same frequency or wavelength?
Moreover, allow yourself to play around with the different roles and archetypes. Also, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Because of this, your flaws, imperfections, and blemishes enhance the quality of your perfectly imperfect being.
You are better for the person(s) you were. After all, the past makes you a stronger, greater, and better person. Along with acceptance comes gratitude. Gratitude for how much you’ve allowed the past to grow you into your present and future self or selves. Gratitude that you are alive and well. Thus, when you have the willingness to accept your selves, you work past the obstacles embedded in your selves.
Acceptance begins with you. All of you that is.
It is the route to your best self yet.
Indeed, you have to slow down to speed up. And meditation does just that. It helps you to be the non-judgmental acceptance you seek. Every version of yourself is necessary. Even if the pain was unnecessary, the lessons available were all worth the discomfort. After all, with great pains come great rewards.
As a result, accept all your selves. Embrace how far you’ve come. Be okay with where you are or aren’t.
Be a Lightworker
Last but not least, be a Lightworker. Allow your love and light to shine. Share your gifts with the world. Be a freethinker and a revolutionary. Encourage the underdog to rise to the top. Be a voice for the voiceless. Embody everything you want to see in the world. Anything you give will be given to you. This is biblical. This is the Law of Attraction (LOA).
However, how are you going to give something you haven’t cultivated inside. You cannot give something that you don’t have.
And that’s the irony. You are everything you wish to give and receive. But, when you are in disharmony with these frequencies, you will not manifest them.
Believe it or not, working in yourself is equivalent to being a Lightworker. And what better way than meditation to get aligned with the ultimate vibration of altruism?
To reiterate, you must save yourself before you can save others. Plus, being the embodiment of putting yourself first is what this world needs most — within and around. Not out of contempt or selfishness but rather love and selflessness.
Working on ourselves is valuing ourselves, our progress, and the amazing, wonderful journey. Ahead and behind.
And yes, we are going to shed skin. We are going to grow outside of our comfort zone. Mistakes are going to happen.
Nonetheless, we’ve got to keep moving.
When we fall, we must acknowledge what this brings up and rise again accordingly. Like a Phoenix reborn from the ashes. Let this rekindled light emanate and spread love.
In the end, working in yourself is arguably the best thing you can do, meditation and otherwise.
Why not invest all your time, energy, and money in being a work in progress?
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!
