“The unexamined life is not worth living.”
I am sure you all have heard this Socrates quote about the examined life philosophy.
And if you haven’t, of course, there you have it.
First and foremost, I would like to address the elephant in the room: you are worthy. Even if you don’t examine your life, your sense of worth is still intact. Matter of factly, worth is inherent from birth and doesn’t change upon external circumstances. It is based on your internal conditon. This examined life philosophy is essentially saying yes you are worthy. Then again, the unexamined life is not worth living as it is merely an existence.
After all, it takes a sentient’s being relatively advanced level of consciousness to know what needs a fine iron of scrutiny so to speak. As a result, this article will tackle this subject in greater depth. Indeed, you will learn how meditation gives you an edge and why it is needed to live the examined life philosophy:
- I Know What I don’t Know
- I See What I Want to Change About Myself
- Life is an infinite sea of gray
- I’m Wide Awake
- What You See is the Iceberg You Tip
- Naked in a World of Spies
- Being Examined
The purpose of this article is to help you understand how meditation accelerates the process of cracking the veil and returning to the roots of your amnesiac soul. Thus, it is time to remember who you are and then some minus Mayan fog.
I Know What I Don’t Know
The good news is that if you think you might’ve lacked self-awareness before, meditation has got you covered. It’ll be your friend to the end. On top of that, even greater if you had a decent, relatively high amount of self-awareness. Either way, you can definitely expect improve in this area.
And when you are more self-aware, the potential to improve, increase, and expand just grows. Next thing you know, you find yourself in a period of reminiscing. Then, you become aware of how much you don’t know. As a result, you might even get an epiphany of insight that nudges you to the eureka moment beyond your wildest dreams. How much you are going to unknow?
Again, how much you don’t know?
Why?
Because when you focus on embracing the fact that you don’t have all the answers, and that’s okay, you open yourself to world of true knowledge and revelation. But first, you have to debunk all the myths you’ve telling yourself. Essentially, you become more knowledgeable with meditation because it helps you to see beyond your perspective.
Not only does it enhance your emotional intelligence but it also helps you to be more profoundly aware of your limitations. More importantly, it is the refined, refreshing balance between the limited unexamined you and the limitless examined you.
Because of this, you feel at home knowing its okay to unknow all you thought you knew. You meditate on what’s within, around, and beyond.
To know is to un-know all you thought you knew and then some.
I see what I want change about myself
Yes, I know. Because I’ve been there. I am living in this state of examined and thereby expanded awareness.
The journey of discovering the real you, an excavated treasure, is well-worth the pressure that boils up to the surface. After all, how else are diamonds made and sustained.
Provided that meditation is the route to enlightenment, it is the perfectly imperfect guide to radical transformation. Slowly but surely, the old, antiquated you fades away in the background. Finally, the new and improved you steps to the plate.
And, contrary to popular belief, change must be continuous and ever-changing. Change is a part of every day life.
However, when you meditate, you begin to see who you could be. Or so you think?
In reality, you penetrate the language of your soul. Accordingly, it becomes increasingly clear that what you see is who the real you is. It’s not just potential. It’s the actual real deal. And, to reiterate, you are going back to where you come from. Perhaps the most uncannily, you get a home sweet home vibe. Being home!
All things considered, meditation propels you into action. You examine your life, identify what needs to change, get rid of what no longer serves you, and expand of all that brings you peace, joy, and clarity.
Indeed, you crack the veil of illusion and hatch your innermost being.
Life is an Infinite Sea of Gray in the examined life
Without a doubt, life is a spectrum of gray (anti)matter. From morals all the way to the state of the world, everything is gray. To be honest, you really cannot say anything is truly black or white. The latter of which is too oversimplified to be true.
That said, meditation gives you this metacognition ability. Over time, you grow more emotionally intelligent and otherwise. Your wisdom buds into a flourishing earth garden. Your heart beats like a drum and taps like a woke bango.
Before you know it, you become one with the infinite shades of gray.
How come?
You are blessed with the ability to be within and around. You see that there is much more to see than what is.
For example, most estimates approximate that we can only perceive four percent of (our?) reality. This doesn’t mention how even our four percent is very much fallible to say the least. Therefore, you grow fond of the possibility that you could be wrong about everything.
This is a result of you examine your life. And, not only your life but where you fit in relation to others, the world, and all that is being. At last, it becomes transparent that life exists in all forms and cannot be categorized by every ostensible term in the bin. In the best way, the cat is out of the bag.
Not all wanders are lost. As you find yourself, you discover that everything is a spectrum. Because of this, you remain one step closer to transcending the mind matrix. Quite simply, freedom flows when your awareness grows.
Everything is debatable when you meditate on embracing life’s inherent gray. Meditate on unconditionally okayness.
If there were fifty shades of gray, we would have found them all in every proposed black or white area.
I’m Wide Awake: Examined Life Miracles
Do you in some level miss what it feels like to be asleep?
You found solace within the breadth of your comfort zone. You felt as though you were on top of the world. Its like you were in a matrix that you perceived a bed of roses.
Then, it hits you. Reality checks you with a slap to the face. Your bubble is all but burst.
Out of the blue, you third eye is wide open and you feel like you can perceive everything. Certainly, it is quite overwhelming at first. Intuiting beyond your normal range of intuition can be devastating. And while it might sound like an existential depression of some sort, you awaken to your higher truths.
No one can meditate, examine, and live as good as you. As a result, you can detect BS from a mile away and you learn the power of trusting your Higher Self.
There is a certain beauty in having your eyes wide open. With being eyes wide open. But, this is not to be confused with being eyes wide shut.
Also, you see what blinded you before and celebrate how clearly you can see. With the examined life, you will definitely sport an ESP philosophy no matter if it makes your voice shake.
For instance, you are like an ageless and refined vampire. Do you want to go back to being a sleepy, boring, and painstakingly average human? Or do you want to enhance your surroundings within and around?
Hope it is the latter.
When you are wide awake, you discover the power of breathing like you’re asleep.
What you see in the examined life is the iceberg you tip
Has anyone ever heard the saying, “you see what you get?” Well, isn’t that quite the myth?
If anything, that’s a ruse to convince everyone that the naked eye sees everything that needs to be seen. Except as with everything, even the naked eye has its limitations.
Meditation not only gives you the entire iceberg of your soul but also the soul of the world. Again, this is within and around. Provided that meditation goes hand in hand with the examined life, you begin to realize that there is a further. Yes, this reality is certainly not the end of all being and seeing.
For example, if you are a waitor or waitress, you probably like tips. I am pretty sure in any level of profession, you like anything that spells bonus or overtime. However, what if you could have more. If you could be more. Why not be the whole check?
Often times, we are who others want us to be but rarely the person we are meant to be.
That’s because the tip of the iceberg is typically the most appealing. Nonetheless, to live the examined life is embrace the entire iceberg with relative glee. As a result, essence precedes appearance.
Why have the tip when you can be the berg of a lifetime?!!
Examined Life Naked in a World of Spies
In the same vein, leading an examined life don’t always feel the best. Matter of factly, sometimes meditation can force spiritual awakening and that’s everything but pretty.
Despite this, being naked, bare, and transparent is a strength. What I mean is it is empowering to be the real you and own your light. Unfortunately though, virtues such as this are not really condoned or encouraged to an auspicious extent. Furthermore, deep thinking and feeling is discouraged and makes it incredibly difficult for old souls to sustain and cope.
Yet, your most persecuted attributes are your most prized bets. You have nothing to be ashamed of and everything to be enlightened about.
Ironically, it is very much similar to the 2010 Inception. Life is not only an illusion but an assault to the senses. An illusion of some sorts that is equally subtle and blatant.
To the world of spies, you see like the spy and vice versa. If the reality out there is the illusion, then the reality in here is your truth. On the contrary, meditation helps you to tap into the infinite source of your awakened soul.
And as with negativity transmuting to positivity, being naked in a world of spies prompts a new same. A world in which people feel empowered by emerging their iceberg, sporting their scars, and being free.
To be naked in a world of spies is to transcend the unexamined life.
Being the Examined Life
In the end, it’s all about being the epitome of what you seek. Whether you know it up, when you live meditation like a lifestyle, your Higher Self is rejoicing.
Why?
You are beginning to connect the dots. Essentially, you realize that you are the physical incarnation of all that is. Part of being the examined life is also seeing that your being is less about learning and more about experiencing. That’s the art of your soul. That’s what it craves more than anything. In other words, it is more about experiencing the climb than learning how to be the mountain top.
Arguably, the best thing about being Examined is that there are no limits. Indeed, it is a limitless journey that enriches your sovereign soul and being. Above all, this surpasses thinking, feeling, or acting examined.
Being examined is the key to living an invaluable, worthy, and electrifying life of wanderlust.
From stardust to stardust, you are made worthy, whole, complete, and divine. More specifically, that’s who you are.
Above all, this ties into meditation because it’s not just the session by itself. It is the lifestyle you take with every deep, rejuvenating, and healing breath you take.
You are the examined life philosophy in physical incarnation. The power is now! Crack the veil. Be the yolk.
To be examined is to meditate on being your most enlightened self.
