I have been looking into meditation to help me lower the stress that comes with lack of sleep, and Headspace is the one app that I keep hearing about. It seems like a solid investment. My main obstacle now is taking the time out of my day to do it. This is something I’d have to get over, but it would probably be a step-by-step thing and I wouldn’t be able to just meditate for 30 minutes right when I first get the app. I’d have to start light, I think. Are there different lengths for the meditations?

In other words, just dip your toe in the water then gradually move forward to the deep end of meditation as necessary. It’s like swimming. You have to build your muscles and lungs up. The only difference is that I wouldn’t recommend holding my breath. Just ease into meditation. Let the timeless experience flow to you
for example, try meditate for a minute or five minutes or ten minutes before you cannonball into the deep end of thirty minutes.
