High on sobriety?
Has anyone ever asked you, “are you high?” How did that make you feel? Did you wonder what was the motive behind their line of reasoning? Did you silently think, “you just don’t know, do you?” Still, what exactly is high on sobriety?
Well, being high is not such a bad thing. In fact, it is not at all what it is made out to be. Truly being high does not involve getting drunk or intoxicated — that is everything but high in the long run. But rather you elevate your state of awareness regardless of what is going on around you.
And why only have a feel good sensation if it’s just going to wane? Why help yourself in the short term when you are merely going to hurt yourself, inevitably, in the long term?
With meditation, you can expect benefits always now. In other words, the simple fact of meditation is going to raise your vibration instantly. So, the more you meditate, the more you are going to be high as a cloud. Only this time there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Plus, it is quite constructive to retort, “yeah, I am high on sobriety” because it does not react to negativity. Instead, it neutralizes the slight and promotes a healthier image and outlook.
Essentially, if you are high on sobriety, you are in the right vibration and frame of mind. As a result, even the darkest days have light at the end of the tunnel.
Accordingly, this article will analyze five mindful, awesome, bold hacks to be high on sobriety:
- Be unafraid of feeling low
- Goodbye to rose-colored glasses
- Progress is being Present
- Eyes-wide-open
- Being the rabbit hole
Be unafraid of feeling low
High vibration or not, there are going to be times in which you feel everything but. Just try to trust that this is a natural part of the meditation process. Sometimes we all have to let go of our attachment to the notions that we are meant to be high all the time.
And, you are actually. However, you are greatly benefited when you accept your lowness. For instance, when you are neutral to how you feel and accept it as a natural part of life, that’s how you rise. Basically, you have to go down to go up. And whenever, you are having a jam with the jacket if your life, just remember that.
So, if you feel fear about being afraid, just know that this is okay. Understand that the only way to resolve this fear is to feel it wholeheartedly, only to let it pass entirely.
Soon, it will become clear that the willingness to let yourself be low is the key to being higher.
Goodbye to rose-colored glasses
In the same vein, the effects of meditation compound over time. Because of this, your vision becomes more transparent, clear in the process. This makes you see all the ways you’ve look at life the wrong ways. You become more open to the possibility that you have been wrong about the nature (and nurture) of life. Then, there is this still expansiveness inside of your that washes over your soul.
But, instead of just wiping your eyes, it’s like your soul now has glasses. Ironically, the more you stop to smell the roses, the less likely you are to wear those stubborn rose-colored glasses. In other words, the ever mindful you wake up to the reality of how being naive, idealistic, and gullible can stunt your growth. In divine timing, you distinguish yourself from the blue pill you have been taking your entire life.
All this means is that you identify how fallacious your conditioning from family, friends, and society is. More importantly, meditation helps you to see life for what it is. And while it can be troubling to face the music, it is the melody to a higher vibration indeed.
Progress is being Present
Regardless of how you get high, I think we can all agree on one thing: enjoying the moment. When you are high, that’s all that matters. You are immersed in the timeless, euphoric, and oh so blissful experience. Absolutely nothing can get you down. You are on top of the world, buck loose and fancy-free.
That’s the point. An integral aspect of being high on sobriety is enjoying the Simplest, yet most profound pleasures that life has to offer. It is the capacity to allow yourself to be a passenger. Not judging the experience. Not worrying about the outcome. But, simply going with the flow and letting the good times roll.
Without a doubt, you are going to have ups and downs, ebbs and flows, but grounding yourself is needed to propel yourself forward. The power of now is beyond words. After all, enlightenment is the highest vibrational frequency that one can attain, so to speak.
Sometimes, you move the most when you are still.
Eyes-wide-open
The very definition of being sober is being awake. Consequently, the state of sobriety allows you to have you eyes-wide-open. You begin to see your past, present, and future with a clearer, more fresh perspective.
You feel your level of conscious expand as a result of you growing more receptive to your higher mind. And while everyone else might have a reason to be high, you don’t. You simply realize that being high is an unconditional in all actuality. Indeed, you don’t need a justification to be high; being is more than enough.
It is also laughably sad how most are eyes-wide-shut. Just as meditation increases intelligence, so does your ability to lightheartedly poke fun at your eccentricities. Consequently, life is not meant to be all about seriousness and darkness and work.
To the contrary, it involves striking the balance between the light and the dark, the serious and the leisure and fun, the work and the play.
As you can see, when your eyes are wide open, you can’t help be high on sobriety.
Being the rabbit hole?
More often than not, we are afraid to go down the rabbit hole. When we get a taste of the extrasensory realms we tend to let that unknown territory freak us out. Nonetheless, just try to remember that everything starts out unknown.
As with meditation, you have to keep doing it. You have to keep being increasingly aligned with your true nature. And naturally, this requires growing pains.
But, you are going to make it through. You have made it too far to turn back now. You know what they say: “once you go black, you never go back.”
This applies to your mindful life in more ways than one can be high. Again, you are not getting high any more than you are going down the rabbit hole. Consequently, you are high. You are the rabbit hole.
Essentially, this is the journey into the multiverse of your soul. So, the next time you feel like an aimless Alice or a wandering carrot, just know that you are on the right track.
Above all, contrary to popular belief, you were more in Wonderland before the rabbit hole opened. And as with miracles, Pandora’s box becomes the norm. It always was. And now, clarity, clearness, and concision is knocking at your door.
Thus, being high on sobriety is being high in all the right ways.
