How to heal the pain
First and foremost, we must remember that we are valid. We are worthy, whole, complete, and divine. And, by default, no, we have not done anything to deserve the pain in our hearts. Yet, without pain, how would we appreciate the value of joy, love, and peace. Without a doubt, everything that we perceive is that of duality, multiplicity. However, if we are to find the spectrum of unity and embrace these implications, we’d at least be a few steps closer to solving the following: how to heal the pain?
That said, the pain might be internal, but this does not mean it does not have any external purposes. In other words, everything that exists is arguably an extension of our internal affairs. Indeed, we are master manifesters for a reason. Because of this, we are in control of how our reality manifests. Then again, we do not have control over anything outside of ourselves. That’s the catch: letting go of control, letting go of the outcome.
Sometimes we can eradicate pain. Other times we can only increase our pain tolerance or threshold for pain. In either case, we are the power to perceive pain as we wish. Sure, objectively, the pain has always been there. Perhaps not. But, the bigger picture is about releasing all assumptions of what it means to heal. Essentially, we heal when we must. Otherwise, we begin to self-sabotage because we are not giving ourselves enough breathing room.
How to Heal the Pain: Off the Leash
By all means, we must not chase healing as it shall flee from us. We must seek the face of healing: ourselves. Of course, the mask is banging on every door and begging everything under the sun for our breakthrough. As such, this leaves us feeling powerless, voiceless, and worst of all, hopeless.
Yet, all the things we think we lack, we are. We are beyond our wildest dreams thereof. We are powerful, the voice for the voiceless, and an ocean of hope. Life is not meant to stop us from achieving our highest potential. Quite the contrary, while we must break, we will keep rising to the surface yet again. After all, we are diamonds. No one can handle pressure better than us.
Better yet, we are meditation. If we are ever wondering how to heal the pain, we must give life a break. To clarify, this does not mean check out. This mindset entails letting go of the pain, savoring the moment, and coming back as our greatest bet. Even the most legendary boxers did their best when they allowed themselves to embrace what they were feeling and utilize that raw, palpable emotion to enhance their performative agility and success.
Correct, our pain makes us strong, healthy, powerful, bold, courageous, and most importantly human.
Pain is beautiful. Pain is bliss.
And as crazy as it sounds, who would we be if not for the mistress of pain? Sure, life is not fair, and it loves to cheat, but how else would we have faith? How would we be faithful to the marriage of necessary change?
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to create a non-toxic, relatively healthy relationship with pain. Regardless of how many times pain served as a relentlessly ruthless dagger to our hearts, we can love again. We can heal the pain.
As such, the only way out is through. We must establish boundaries with pain. We must assert our power. Do not be afraid to be as territorial as a cat.
How to Heal the Pain: Draw the line
We can only give so much power to pain. Pain is only powerful when we are feeling powerless. Again, that’s the catch. We only feel powerless because, baby, we are among one of the most powerful beings. But, if we believe we are powerless, pain preys on our ignorance and stupidity. Willful and conscientious we must be, but this must not apply to a purposeful lack of understanding.
Also, pain is less of a symbiotic and more of a parasite. It feeds on darkness, paralysis, and presumed weakness. Yet, all weaknesses have the potential to be strengths. Even if there is not always a guarantee in our lives, that does not mean there is none whatsoever. Indeed, nothing is impossible as everything about us spells, “I’m possible!”
Our existence is miraculous. Sure, maybe one day we’ll be extinct. Matter of factly, I augur a vast majority of scientists will continue to argue in favor of this. That’s beyond the point.
That was then, this now; this is now, that is later.
That said, I’d argue most of our pain originates from the past. Yet, when we ruminate over the past and worry about the future, we neglect the present. There is immense, timeless, wildly sensational power in the world of now.
Accepting the pleasures of the present moment is one of the greatest virtues known to humankind. As such, the lesson here is learning temperance. In other words, do “everything in moderation.” Indeed, we can be all the thrills, adventures, and sensations we seek. We are eternal scholars and citizens of the world.
Yet, we can only escape the real world for so long. We can run away from our obligations for a limited time only. After all, it is simply a primordial craving to climb back up the ancestral tree and return to our roots. Yet, we are never going to experience the same high again. Essentially, the more we run away from pain, the more pain chases us and aggravates the whole affair.
On the contrary, when we meditate, we are a painless reality. We are the drug we crave. And, when we are the drug, suddenly we don’t need the pain to go away. We don’t need the high. The pain and high need us, and we see our healing power as everlasting and innate.
