What is healing meditation
A healing meditation is essentially any meditation that has the power to heal. Of course, this includes the mind, body, and soul. Really any meditation can be classified as a healing meditation. However, one could argue that it is when one has the intent to heal themselves. Believe it or not, the basis of meditation involves setting intentions. So, why are intentions important to decipher what is healing meditation?
We set intentions based on what we need at any particular moment or time.
For example, when we are having a stressful day, we might set the intention to have a zen and restful evening. Instead of forcing the envelope and trying to make our intentions manifest, we just need to let it flow. In other words, once we set the intention that we desire to heal, we must go on. Not because we are simply applying the as-if principle (i.e. fake it ’til you make it), but rather because we are all that we seek.
Also, it is important to note that no matter how much pain, damage, and struggle we’ve endured, healing is still more than possible. In fact, it is probable. We just have to remind ourselves of our innate healing power. With meditation, we learn how to ground ourselves in the vibration of healing and alignment. Again, sometimes we heal when we try the least.
Essentially, we are healing the moment we set the intention, so why try to do something that we are already doing?
Thus, this article will discuss what is healing meditation and the top three ways to embody this blissful experience:
- Stay Grounded in the Moment
- Hands Over Heart
- Focus on the Intention
Stay Grounded in the Moment

Furthermore, it is in our best interest to admit that we have not healed all the way. And as we close our eyes, we are to acknowledge that there really is no past or future. Our subconscious mind solely operates in the present moment. That’s right!
Everything we think that we are over and done with, more likely than not, still needs to come to the light. Otherwise, they are synonymous to vampires to the soul. Even if an incident happened fifty years ago, to our subconscious, it just happened. It was just like yesterday, yet the subconscious knows today only. On top of this, staying grounded is the way for us to accept how we feel. After all, the only way out is through.
To reiterate, imagine how much we could heal if we cut out all the distractions. Imagine how much being grounded in the present moment would be like second nature if we stop the vicious cycle of worrying and rumination.
No matter how we feel, as valid and important as our emotions are, we are in control. The calm of the storm. We are merely passengers floating in the womb of timeless, euphoric being. Thus, we stop resisting the flow of healing the moment we start going with the flow.
Hands Over Heart

Perhaps most of us have heard that the power of the heart is thousands of times more powerful than the head. But, what if there was something even more powerful than the heart and head combined? What if it were the hands?
Did you guys know that the hands are a pulsating, potent vehicle for the highest of vibrations?
When we put our hands over our hearts, we are connecting with our heart chakra. In other words, the (green) energy center spaced through and around the heart. This is the energy of our emotions, love, and intuitive connection.
In my experience, the hands typically begin to vibrate when you do this. Vibration can occur during or after a meditation session. Speaking of being grounded, we feel way more present and woke when we interconnect our hands and heart.
Accordingly, the power of touch is beyond words. It can make the difference between healing and hurting. One touch can save a life and break the cycle of disconnect, disharmony with our higher selves.
And, that’s the issue: we cannot settle for more of the same. We cannot settle for the same sickness, famine, and disease out there. We must rise above and beyond and soar like a Phoenix. But, if we are to heal, we must allow ourselves to crash and burn with the ashes. And, only then can we emerge from the debris and fly.
As a result, all the healing power of meditation lies in our hands. Green handedly (pun intended), we just have to have a heart-to-heart first.
Be the Intention

If we are to heal during meditation, we have to be healing meditation. We must realize that meditation is a catalyst for being in the awareness of who we are. First and foremost, we have got to set the intention. It is in our best interest to know what we want and even better: who we are.
The benefits of meditation are everything but a placebo, so we are not just feeling the power of our intentions because that’s what we’ve been taught. We are experiencing healing because that’s who we are. To clarify, anything that makes us feel better is also making us more like ourselves.
And, when healing is ingrained in the most vibration awareness, it does not need conscious effort. It just need practice and progress to sustain the aforementioned intention. Without a doubt, we already know how to heal our bodies. We just have to expand past our self-imposed limitations and see who we have been all this time.
In the end, all healing meditation takes is setting the intention and being it. Then again, Rome wasn’t built in a day and this is easier said than done. Above all, just remember that whatever we focus on grows. So, the next time we are looking to heal with meditation, we must expect for the universe to give us just that and then some.
If anyone knows how to heal ourselves, it is us, meditation, and the limitless power of intention. I hope this article helped you all to determine what is healing meditation as well as how to be every intention sought after.

Have recently started to put into practice the art of meditation it was very useful to read this article because I wasn’t entirely sure how to cleanse thoughts from the past, Am I correct that we must always stay in the present moment to do this?
I liked the idea of floating n the womb of a timeless, euphoric being. and going with the flow. This may take some practice.
I will try to set my intention and I hope I will benefit from practising meditation correctly.
Well, try not to put too much pressure on yourself. Make progress with being more present in the moment. This must be the focus, yet we are all a working progress. Also, there is no right or wrong way to meditate; it simply is!
Indeed, part of being the art of meditation being an ever-present artist. Thanks pal!
Great blog and thank you for once again paying attention to how powerful meditation is. I do not know if it is a placebo or not, how exactly it works but I know it helps me after any stress. I call it “listening to silence” and I really need it after every day and I recommend that everyone find a way to connect with themselves and thus recharge their batteries.
Thank you! I was just addressing the other side when I mentioned the placebo. Live and let live, man.
I had never considered past events to be a vampire to the soul if not addressed but you are correct! It’s thought that “being in control” means “putting it behind you” and “getting over it” when the truth is that we can’t “get over it” until we heal the wound. On the same thought wave, those who can’t let go, who replay things over and over, are also allowing these hurts to suck their life away. I’m with you on this: it’s time to get used to setting the intentions to heal our lives and our souls. Thank you for posting.
You are so welcome! I am glad that my post resonated with you. Meanwhile, feel free to encourage your friends and family to join the email list for more great content!
Thank you so much for the awesome post! Healing meditation is such a beautiful practice and many people, when they think of healing, they merely think of physical healing, but meditation is more than just that! Did you know that studies show that Buddhist Monks and Catholic Nuns tend to live longer and have a more calm brain, because they get into a meditative state.
Makes sense. I can see why Monks are so calm and long-lived. Thank you!
