What is practicing mindfulness?
Well, I can tell you what it’s not: a bunch of monks meditating for the majority of the day. In all honesty, there are infinitely many ways to practice mindfulness. There is more than one way to be mindful of your life within any given connotation. As you can see, there is no right or wrong way to be mindful. Believe it or not, to some extent, we all practice mindfulness. The question is how are we practicing mindfulness, is it effective, and are we mindful when we are being mindful or whatnot.
For instance, we can be mindful of how certain events, people, ideas, and circumstances impact us on all levels. Moreover, this can give us insight into whether we should cut all ties, assert our boundaries, or continue along our current path. Also, there is nothing wrong with being out of alignment with who you are. It happens to everyone I suppose.
Whatever you are going through, you will come out in the other side already. If you feel unloved, unaccepted, and misunderstood, there is someone out there who can fulfill all your needs. More importantly, you are that special someone you have been waiting for.
Growing Pains are Practicing Mindfulness
And, when we are shrouded in a predicament that doesn’t positively serve, it is time to be mindful of healthier, more fulfilling and satisfying alternatives. In my experience, pain is what propels me to grow. I have been broken in more ways than one. I have felt like no matter what I do, nothing ever falls through. Quite frankly, I still swallow this bitter pill.
However, I am mindful of the fact that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Okay, miracles happen every day. The impossible continues to prove that I am not only possible but in fact more than probable to succeed.
So, whenever it feels like life is trying to kill you, just remember the immortal fire blaring inside. In other words, there is nothing or no one you cannot handle. Nonetheless, it is a matter of being mindful of what is in your best interest. Are you meant to merely handle the most prolific offenses in the world, or will you decide otherwise? As a result, there is a difference between what you can and what you will tolerate – or not! Sometimes we need to challenge ourselves to expand our minds; other times we need to get the hell out of dodge if we are to thrive.
Setting Boundaries
As such, in all honesty, you can handle what life throws your way. Yet, you don’t have to tolerate anything you do not deserve. That said, you are golden, strong, and bold. You came to planet earth to be seen as the divine, special, unique, and potent being you are. Even if you feel like you can’t handle something and you draw some boundaries, that is a prime example of practicing mindfulness. Better yet, it is a matter of prioritizing yourself as first place. Not that you are a trophy but rather a prize worth keeping your eyes on and then some.
Except, very frequently, less is more. The less you try, the more you’ll do. Paradoxically, the less you do, the more you’ll be. Indeed, there is a such thing as serious leisure and productive laziness.
As such, take the time to be mindful of how certain sensations make you feel. Notice the most mundane, minute details to navigate the symbolism within. Moreover, everything has a vibration. We are always emanating a vibration out into the universe. As you can see, some things and people won’t vibe well with you. Without a doubt, the less you force the envelope, the more you will be able to get the memo.
To be practicing mindfulness is to not practice mindfulness
Perhaps the greatest paradox of practicing mindfulness is not practicing mindfulness. You don’t have to actively practice mindfulness, especially if you have been doing this for quite some time. The more you embody these mindful characteristics, the more you will be the aforementioned characteristics. Therefore, practicing mindfulness will become second nature to say the least.
And while it might be hard to break certain habits, it is relatively easy to form habits. So, why not form the healthiest, most vibrant, robust, and beneficial habits thereof.
As such, this will help you to realize you cannot control what happens around you. All of your eggs are not in the basket of your external circumstances. The yolk of your power, your soul, your light source energy, your mindfulness is within your heart and soul. The moment you were conceived, practicing mindfulness was the yolk of your being.
As a result, you are mindfulness practiced well done. It is a matter of resonating with the vibration of mindfulness and becoming something far greater in the process.
Be Reformed
But, are you willing to let go? Are you willing to open your mind to opportunities streaming in an eternal flow? If so, keep going. Allow yourself to feel vulnerable, knowing that your canvas is all but empty and broken.
As such, we all have to go through in order to come out. However, it is worth noting that we all move at different speeds, velocities, frequencies, and wavelengths. Indeed, the more mindful you become, the less judgmental you are of yourself and others.
Personally, I believe in the power of epigentics. Consequently, it is the best of both words. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst? Well imagine how eliminate the worst and accentuating the best happens. Yes, you’ve guessed it: working on cultivating mindfulness on the road to the next level. If people don’t understand you, it’s their lost. If people would rather laugh at you rather than take your light working seriously, they’ll be sobbing later on. And, as a 1H Lunar Capricorn, I am learning that it is best to let the universe take care of karma — it’s not your job!!
You are Practicing Mindfulness
Remember, you are what’s RIGHT with this profoundly sick world. You are the BEST of all worlds.
Nonetheless, it is actually not about doing what’s in your best interest. Just be it.
Speak your truth. Deviate from the norm. Embrace your eccentricities. Love your faults. Most important, free your soul. And, if you feel like a queer to the vibe and soul of the world, note that old is gold.
Indeed, practicing mindfulness is the art of seeing what makes you blind and being aware of your self-imposed limitations, impediments, blockages, triggers, challenges, and faults thereof. There is nothing more powerful than the deeper than melatonin mindfulness of meta cognition.
In other words, why not see beyond, yet behind all that is mindless to be mindful.
After all, you are love, light, peace, enlightenment, joy, blessed, amazing, invaluable, worthy, divine, complete, and whole.
