Why does my body feel like it is vibrating?
Have you ever felt like you were vibrating during meditating? Did you ever get the vibe that you were doing something right? Was there a part of you that wished to vibrate all the time?
First and foremost, I would love to address the elephant in the room: all of this is normal. In fact, I’d even argue that some, if not most, assume that they are vibrating for the first time. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. You are just becoming more aware of just how interconnected your mind and body really are.
Also, I’d love to document how when I vibrated more when I started out versus now. Usually, this is because the body is not used to handling the higher vibrations (i.e. joy, bliss, love, enlightenment) that come with meditation. Not to mention how the lack of meditation can lead to a lower vibration (i.e. anger, fear, resentment, shame).
I think the fun part is how these sporadic vibrations can sometimes follow you before and after each session.
What goes on in this meditation, stays in your higher vibration.
So, the brief answer to your question of why does my body feel like it is vibrating is deceptively simple. It is more than a feeling. It is your body awakening to the frequency of its higher truths. You begin to realize that your nature is of a higher frequency and your vibrating is a reflection of you meditating on this truth. After all, whatever you focus on grows.
For instance, if you intend to alleviate stress and anxiety to promote general health and wellness, this could be a sign of progress. A sure-fire sign that you are on the right path to not only being in vibration with all of you but also enlightenment.
Thus, this article will elaborate on the different vibrations you may encounter as well as how to respond accordingly:
- Tingling, Cooling Sensation
- Burning and Itching
- Nausea and Pain
- Spasms and Sporadic Movement
- Whole Body Sensation + MORE
Ticklish!
Agreed, this ties into feeling the blissful higher vibrations for meditations. It falls on what is construed as the more positive attributes of quality me-time. You just feel like you are having a ball. Essentially, nothing can get you down.
Except, if you are a novice to meditation, this might throw you off guard. Despite how great it might feel, you might wonder what is going on. It is normal to question why you are feeling a tingling, cooling sensation without a logical explanation.
In reality, this is just a sign that you are having fun with simply being. You aren’t trying too hard to meditate. You are simply letting the good vibrations flow right over to you. It’s the ultimate way to take a load off and enjoy the process. Plus, you deserve to have leisure time with no strings attached.
Also, it is kind of amazing to feel like someone is tickling you even though they aren’t. So when you experience this sort of vibration, just know that you are in excellent company. Thus, you are effortlessly investing in a happier, more fulfilled you.
If you feel tempted to laugh, chuckle, or jolt to the electrifying, thrilling sensation, go ahead. After all, laughter is good for the soul.
Blood on Fire!
Again, this is another unique sensation to experience. However, I will be the first to admit that this is not the most pleasant vibration. It can leave you feeling like something is wrong with your body. Because of this, if you ever feel like you have an underlying physiological disorder, don’t hesitate to seek professional help. If anything, meditation can serve as a precaution for some lifestyle habits, behaviors, and/or habits that no longer serve your best interest. Positively that is.
It is a way to be in tune with your bodily needs to act accordingly. Even if it seems like a detriment or problematic indication, this is still a blessing in disguise. It would be more problematic if you felt nothing when there was most certainly something to be concerned about.
That said, when you experience burning and/or itching, it can be a surprisingly, satisfyingly diversifying encounter. For some, this is an amazing vibration that can coat and soothe the body. For others, it can raise serious alarm.
Nonetheless, this is a sure-fire sign that there are some areas in your body that have stored trauma. And now, you are releasing unnecessary baggage. Remember, your body has a fully functioning memory. It represents the subconscious.
As a result, when you experience this vibration, it informs you that perhaps something was out of alignment and you are feeling the effects of what once was.
Don’t worry. If you feel the need to move, please do. If you feel like your blood is on fire, just know that the water is a mere breath away.
This too shall pass.
Delirium!
Yes, there isn’t much easy about this particular vibration. It can leave you feeling like meditation is to blame for your pervasive discomfort.
But fret not: meditation is the antidote. In actuality, your nausea and/or pain is a sign of the abuse, trauma, and suffering you have acquired across your lifespan. This can range from a few days to a few decades. It uniquely depends on you and your life circumstances.
If anything meditation is an aid for nausea and pain reprieve. To be honest, medication can only do so much. Meditation, on the other hand, has endless, immense benefits that keep excavating into the light as we speak.
Why experience the adverse side effects of meditation when you can reverse said effects and expand into the freeing role of your greatest version. In other words, this vibration reduces self-sabotaging nausea and pain stored within.
So, while you might be feeling an unprecedented pang of pain now, count yourself lucky. Your body is getting rid of an ailment, or ailments, that meant you no good. Therefore, please, document how you are feeling. But as with the good vibrations, just know that your meditation session is what you make it.
By the same token, no pain no gain. If you don’t feel any nausea and pain, you won’t be able to heal it accordingly.
Sporadica!
Enough with the puns, right? Wrong! In meditation, there is no right or wrong vibration. Regardless of how they feel, all vibrations are just as good as God. Then again, this is what I am making meditation out to be.
Because of this, you cannot really prepare for meditation. Sure, you can set up a meditation space. You can regurgitate all your mantras from front to back. But in the end, expect the unexpected. Expect to experience what you haven’t in a while.
For instance, as of late, I am starting to experience intense vibrations in my hands and feet. It has almost been an entire year since then. At first, I was befuddled by this development. Then, I realized this was just a part of the process. Essentially, your body just takes whatever it needs for every meditation.
Accordingly, there is little to nothing you can do to control what might flow your way. However, your response makes or breaks the nature in which you perceive your vibration.
In a nutshell, it is just like real life: you might be dealt with curveballs, but you are meant to stay the course. If your body is jerking violently or spasming at the mouth, so to speak, it is in your best interest.
And don’t just take my word for it. Experience it! Feel it! Be the calm of the storm and live to show the sporadica story.
Before you know it, you will wash up on shore. Just as alive and well as ever before. Indeed, you never know what storms you will weather. Above all, just go with the flow and let go of control.
Holistic Vibrations
On the other hand, you might experience vibration from the crown of your head to the sole of your feet… in biblical proportions. Again, this is definitely a sign of positive progress. And, as hard as it is to find confirmation of the internet, self-confirmation is always the best policy for holistic vibrations. This is also known as a whole-body vibration.
There are at least two things to keep in mind when your body vibrates like this. A, your body is not used to such higher frequencies as discussed earlier and B, your frequency is aligning with your potent Higher Self. It is overwhelming and perhaps a bit shell-shocking (if you catch my drift), to re-member that you are not confined to such a temporal existence.
You realize that you are more than a vibration here or a vibration there. You are the vibration apart of everything within and around. The you that you most identify is likely just a fraction of the real boundless, high-vibe, and holistic you.
And while it seems like the body can only handle so much higher vibration, you are rapidly transforming with it. Moreover, this supports the increasingly valid theory that homo sapiens are shifting from a carbon-based reality to that of crystal.
Conclusively, you don’t have to worry about ascending from your temple or floating into outer space. It is more of a state of awareness than an actual physical place. And for those reasons, holistic vibrations are not only a sign that your mind, body, and spirit are in vibration with one another but you are returning to divine order.
High Vibe Tribe
Regardless of what sensation you experience, it is important to note that there is generally nothing to worry about. To reiterate, do what you know to be in your best interest and wing it! Or, take calculated risks as it is your divine right.
The choice is yours. It is almost too good to be true. Deceptively simple is more how I like it.
I think one of the biggest BONUS tips is finding your own high vibe tribe. As a matter of fact, that is arguably the first thought that entered my mind when I joined Wealthy Affiliate. I desired to surround myself with like-minds with an abundant, positive, can-do attitude. And, as you can see, positivity is thousands of times stronger and greater than negativity.
The same applies to the heart having more signature strength the mind. Why let negativity outweigh positivity when the latter can outshine all the lower vibrations.
And, that’s what your body is doing during meditation: releasing all the subconscious, suppressed, pent-up, and utterly detrimental anger, frustration, trauma, pain, shame, grief. Vibration is simply your body clearing its cache and giving you the space needed to carry on.
Indeed when you lose a lot, you gain a ton more. In the end, the more you meditate, and subsequently vibrate, the more you will attract the desired outcomes, circumstances, people, and events into your life. Without even trying…
